2. What are the steps to make a .pdf?

PDF files are compact and fully searchable, and they can be accessed at any time using the free downloadable Adobe Reader. Interactive hyperlinks make PDF files easy to navigate.

PDF documents may have special access rights applied and can accept digital signature making long distance document approval possible.

If you have a full version of Acrobat installed on your computer, you can save files as PDFs in order to send them to Blair for printing.

How to make a PDF printable instructions

1. From the START button, scroll to SETTING and then select PRINTERS

2. From the PRINTER control panel 'right click' on ACROBAT PDFWRITER

3. If you do not see ACROBAT PDF WRITER you do not have ACROBAT and you will not be able to create a .pdf. (but you can still read .pdf files if you download the FREE Reader at Adobe Website

4. Select PRINTING PREFERENCES

5. Ont the page setup tab select the PAGE SIZE you are printing (max is 45" to 45") and the ORIENTATION

6. Next tab over to the compression options. (This step is crucial to getting good print quality). Make sure there are NO compression selections. Ther should NOT be any check marks on this menu

7 Finally, tab to FONT EMBEDDING

8. Select EMBED ALL FONTS, and double check that both subsets are OFF.

9 Select OK and "print to PDF writer".
