| Proof
your color prints
Blair Graphics recommends proofing every color print before running full production. Proofing prevents an unexpected color shift or a last minute spelling error from ruining your project. Make sure you allow time to proof and approve prints; you’ll save yourself time, money, and aggravation-and you will always get the product you expect.
Tips on Proofing... The color you see on your monitor is not necessarily the same color that will end up on your paper. Learning to know what to expect on paper from the appearance of color on the monitor is a key skill for designers, pre-press technicians and print buyers.
Digital proofs are extremely useful for judging accuracy of text and placement on the page. Digital proofs can be faxed to you for your approval.
Color proofing is the only way to accurately predict the
look of ink on your selected paper. So be sure to add proofing
time to your job's production time and save yourself the
time, expense and aggravation of re-printing your entire
job.
